Wake Up with The Glo Pillow

If you hate being woken up with that horrible noisy alarm clock then you might want to swap your alarm clock with the Glo Pillow. The Glo Pillow is an alternative to the traditional alarm clock. It was designed with teammate Eoin McNally in response to a brief to create a product which helps to combat the pressures of a “24 hour” lifestyle. The pillow uses an LED fabric substrate below the surface to wake the user with light. This LED fabric also functions as a display, showing the time on the pillows surface. 40 minutes before the pre-set alarm time the pillow begins to glow and gently brings the user out of sleep. This natural waking process helps to set the circadian rhythm or “body clock” and results in more healthy sleep/wake patterns. The bad thing is that the Glo Pillow is just a concept right now, but I’m sure that this design has a lot of potential. I love this innovative idea really.  [via Talk2myshirt]

1 To 3 For Five Seconds

In these day’s people seem to love multi-function furniture, and wooHome also loves those pieces. Here today is a new fine example multi-function furniture called “One To Three For Five (Seconds)” and is created by designer John Nouanesing. In the unfolded state, it appears as a small white cube but you can easily split up into two pieces of chairs and a tiny red table in five seconds.  [via Yankodesign]

Flying Carpet

Designed by Nanimarquina, the Flying Carpet is a wonderfully comfortable and flexible system, sure to spark your imagination. The rug is hand loomed from 100% New Zealand wool, and comes in three colors: red, green and gray. Roll around, stretch out and read, anyway you can do anything on it. The name Flying Carpet reminds me of the film ‘Aladdin’ released by Walt Disney Pictures and I wonder what Aladdin would say on this funny one, maybe he would like this one better than his Magic Carpet. This Flying Carpet can be yours from here but the price is a bit steep for $1,978.

Salvador Dali Clock

Salvador Dali Clock is a really surrealistic design and I can say it is something that will impress anyone. It looks like a wall clock and acts like a wall clock. But look again and it seems like someone’s mixed the numerals out of synch. Time itself seems to be all mixed-up, as though the clock face has been in a blender. Yet the trick is in the spacing of the hands. Evenly spaced, the clock tells the time accurate to the nearest second… it’s merely your eyes that need to adjust. This clock can be purchased from Gadgetshop for £14.99.
