Bibliothèque Zelli Bookcase

Surfing on Furniturestoreblog, I’ve found this contemporary bookcase designed by Younes Duret. As you can see from the pictures, this design has a snowflake shape and it can be used as a room divider or center against the wall. Moreover, this unique design creates interesting storage units providing a creative method for arranging your objects. This piece is available in white or black, and pricing can be obtained at Dar en Art.

Wallpaper Speakers Will Come Ture

Have you ever thought that your wallpaper can be speakers? Johns Hopkins materials scientist Michaely Yu and his team have made a rubbery plastic-based material that could help place piezoelectric devices in previously impractical areas, including your walls. This material could be used to produce a coating which could create speakers embedded into wallpaper. Right now there are no available production, but I’m sure that this new technology has a lot of potential.  [via technabob]

Pong Table

You might remember the “Fusion” dining pool table, a dining table, a pool table and a game table all in one. Today here is another mult-functional design called Pong Table and is designed by Moritz Waldemeyer. The table embedded with 2400 LED lights and 2 trackpads turns it into a modern version of the 1972 Atari Pong game. When the game is turned off, the integrated technology disappears.  [via cubeme]

“See Me TV” Security Cam Mirror

If one of these “See Me TV” Security Cam mirrors is installed in your bathroom, it might give your guests a surprise, as if they are actually being filmed. Of course, there is no actual camera in it, and it is just a mirror, tidy up your hair. The See Me TV is available in a range of colors and can be yours from here.  [via unplggd]

Put that baby in your gutter, turned it on, and it looked like a dust tornado tooling down the gutter. Dirt, old leaves, sand, twigs just flying all over the place. The detachable remote controls a 500 RPM rotating three-stage auger to tears your gutter. iRobot Looj cleans a 60-foot section of gutter in just 10 minutes. What seems to be a simple ceramic base hides a shocking surprise. Once the knives with lightening bolt are removed from the base, the true form is revealed: a common electrical outlet.

The Power of Plants in Our Environment

This planter design shows the strenght of nature against human works. Dutch designer Arwin Caljouw thinks over nature and the way that weeds emerge and grow in the streets, and creates this project called Interior weeds. “…with the center piece you can create an interior plantation from street weeds or other personal selection of plants. The graphic tiles are an addition to a plain tile collection, which you might apply in a random and unique way”.   [via swissmiss]
