Mirror Watch by Cheuk Kee Lai

SDWorks, a commercial platform attached to the Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s School of Design now started to produce the Mirror Watch – a combination mirror/ LED watch by student designer Cheuk Kee Lai. “SDWorks looks for cool and nice ideas from students, refines them, put them into production and sells the products. Then, the benefits are shared among the student, tutor and university.”  Via 1  2

Designed by Nobuhiro Sato, the Haisui Planter would give us the same feeling of life springing up in a once thriving living area that has fallen on hard times. Luxurious PING-PONG Dining Table

Designed by Shanghai-based designer Hunn Wai, the luxurious looking table PING-PONG Dining Table are both a stylish dining table and an officially-sized ping-pong table. “PING-PONG Dining table harks back to the origins of table-tennis with its duality of both being a table fit for dining and playing on. What started off as impromptu after-dinner amusement mimicking tennis in an indoor environment for upper-class Victorians became an international phenomenon with rules and standards. This is an official-sized game table with a DuPont Corian surface CNC machine-routed with French Rococo patterns interjected with Ping-pong iconography filled with gold lacquer, supported by stately hand-lathed timber legs. In the middle, a long rectangular vase filled with dainty blossoms does double-duty as a game-net and a table floral arrangement.

The Nose of Panasonic

PUYL Air Pump + Bicycle Light

PUYL is another green design by Kai Malte Roever. Designer combined an air pump and bike light into a single device. It is the first permanent illuminating bicycle light which does not need a battery. The light’s battery is charged while pumping.
