A Toaster Made of 2,500 Slices of Bread

Artists Ingrid Falk and Gustavo Aguerre, AKA FA+, made a giant toaster composed of 2,500 pieces of toasted bread.  Via

“The Toaster is a large picture, 5 meter wide and 4.5 meter high, totally made from slices of bread toasted in different lengths of time to reach the nuances between black and white, ochre and rust. It took several days of work and several friends and their toasters to prepare the 2.500 pieces of toast necessary to build the gigantic mosaic, which reproduce a photograph of a toaster.”

The World’s Largest Model Airport

This is the world’s largest model airport which was recently unveiled at Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, Germany. This airport is modeled to look like the Hamburg Airport, and it took seven years to build, it cost 4.8 million dollars to make. It has 40 model aircraft take off and land, and 90 vehicles that move about runways aided by computers.
