What a creative idea! Calendar made of matches. Designed by Yurko Gutsulyak, each page is a month and it looks like a comb made of matches that correspond to the days. The matches are real and the construction of the calendar is absolutely safe.

Stx:
My thoughts exactly.
“The matches are real and the construction of the calendar is absolutely safe.”
If thing a blazing inferno is safe then, yeah, I guess it’s safe.

dumb.

Very clever indeed, but keep it away from kids!
November 21st, 2008 11:40
How the hell could they make the strip below the matches
if you strike one i think chances are big you will set the whole thing on fire..
November 22nd, 2008 22:31
Not dumb!
Clever!
How cathartic would it be to burn each day at the end? A great way to keep moving forward.

excellent job executing a bad idea - colors are cool and layout nice and all that but really???
I’m all for forward thinking design, but when you’re done ask yourself, “Is this a novelty item?”
in this case the answer is a resounding, “Yes, we made this for arsonists, smokers and a handful of candle-lighting monks.”
November 23rd, 2008 07:13
that is so pointless… I have to own it NOW! ;D
November 23rd, 2008 14:22
why? just why?
November 23rd, 2008 22:39
This would be cool… especially if you have a woodstove that you light every morning or something.
November 24th, 2008 01:23
There’s no point, as Bob said, everything’s cool, colors design, but what’s the point? and someone said something “a great way to keep moving forward”, but i don’t see how… everyday gone a chance to lit a match? days are still gonna go…
Now… if this was let’s say part of a campaign to reduce how many cigs a smoker gets in a day, it’d be different
Of course there’s chance the letters and company explains it, but i can’t read it, so perhaps an explanation would be fine…

This is a good idea.
I want one.
It would last me very long though.
I’d get to anxious and just light the whole thing on fire.

ha. look where they put the strike strip. id burn my fukin house down by jan 3rd
November 27th, 2008 06:47
Gives new meaning to the saying “burning your life away”
November 28th, 2008 01:27
so I’m assuming no one’s had the bright idea of FLIPPING THE MATCHES ON THE OTHER SIDE WHILE LIGHTING? Just a thought…
November 28th, 2008 07:59
I think that it would be better to just burn the money you would spend on it in the first place.

Good for the bathroom, and only the bathroom… You could use it after your daily duty, and if you light the whole thing on fire via the idiotically placed strike strip, you can throw the sucker in the shower.
December 5th, 2008 21:11
how much for this?
how can I buy it?
pls advise the shop information, thanks.
December 7th, 2008 00:39
Maybe…
Seeing yourself “burning” away your time day by day makes you realize that life is way too short for us to sit behind some lifeless machine most the time stumbling things like burn-away calenders.
But I like the idea:) Calenders do not need a greater function to be..well…calenders:D This one just happens to offer some fire, one match a day:) If nothing else, enjoy the great smell of a match getting its first strikes against the strip.
December 7th, 2008 00:41
— and the sheer adrenaline you get when you strike a mach thinking that it could be your last day alive:D:D:D

December 22nd, 2008 03:38
The strip under the matches is alright.
You move the match fast enough that it wouldn’t catch the others on fire.
Uh. Unless you’re retarded or something? xD
