Created by chinese designer Xuan Yu in the design competition “RE-think + RE-cycle”, the Hanger is a clever design that assembling two plastic bottles into a clothes hanger by screwing the bottles into the hook.
Actually this is a silly and impractical idea. The thickness of the bottles are way too much. How many clothes do u think you can hang inside ur wardrobe?
This easily takes up 3 to 4 times more space than the normal clothes hangers.
No, I agree with KJ. It’s great to “go green” and all, but why not be practical about it? Make things that are actually useful. What is the benefit of this for us? It is actually more of an inconvenience than anything else. It’s bulky and negates the whole purpose of hangers. The reason we use hangers is so we can condense things, fit more into a smaller area.
I am all for going green, lets just be practical about it.

Gotta disagree with you guys, I think it’s cool. you’re not gonna have a closet full of these things, but a few around would be neat.

You can just step on the bottles to make them more compact and fit more in your wordrobe

I would take the handle with me on vacation, drink two bottles of water and use the hanger to drip dry t-shirts in the shower. The thickness would keep the front and back of the shirt apart to dry more quickly.

Probably better with those SEI bottles, flat, short bottles.

I don’t think it’s that bad of an idea. Like Carol said it would be good for hanging clothes to dry. Also, some clothes that are knitted get stretched in the shoulder area with normal hangers so having the big rounded bottles would keep some sweaters or other things from being stretched.
Plus, if you’re a guy and don’t have a big wardrobe this isn’t that bad of an idea.
There are lots of baby clothes hangers available in the market and some eye-catching styles which can be picked with regard to giving them on significant events.

Is it plastic? Why make more plastic?
Wow KJ,
talk about missing the point.

THIS IDEA MAKES ME ANGRY!!!
+ Impractical
+ Ugly
+ Requires more fricking plastic than it saves
Suck is reaching critical mass.
