Play both Sport and Sound Art
The “Kikkit” is an interactive art installation that combines architecture and sound synthesis. It consists in the transformation of the perceived sound and space of the sports court of Wriezener Park into an urban instrument. During a game of basketball or football in a nearby field, the cones will amplify the sound of the impact of a ball against the steel fence. As you can see from the picture, brightly coloured cone-shaped plastic buckets cover the outer sides of the fence of the sports court. This project was part of the “Tuned City” festival held this past summer in Berlin. Play both sport and sound art. Funny!
