Different from any other camera, the Lytro camera is the first consumer light field camera, a unique type of camera that captures color, intensity, and vector direction of all the rays of light, instead of just a single pane of light. The Lytro camera has a lens and an LCD screen, but it looks more like a kaleidoscope than a camera. The front end has an F/2 lens with an 8x zoom. It’s only 4.4″ long and comes with an LCD touchscreen. There are only 2 buttons on the device, one for shutter control and one for power.
