Have you ever thought of growing your own 6,000 pounds of food on your urban farm even if it is only 1/10 acres? I believe it would be almost every house owner’s dream. The Dervaes family who live on 1/10th of an acre 15 minutes from downtown L.A. used their great success to explain that it is possible. In a year they produce around 4,300 pounds of veggies, about 2000 eggs, 25 lbs honey, plus seasonal fruits. They grow over 400 species of plants throughout the year. What a crazy example but it is really possible! Besides of saving a lot of money on food shopping, the Dervaes family sold their extra food from the porch, and made over $20000 last year. Have a look at the following video to learn how they do that!
